Girls on Tour

Okay so, if you see a message on tik tok, instagram or any of the above about a gils trip with a random bunch of girls…. SAY YES!!!!

After getting a voucher to swim with the humpbacks a year ago, i knew a road trip up the coast to exmouth was on the cards. As well as this i’ve always dreamt of going to karijini national park and it’s been high on my bucket list for a while now, so it seemed like an easy decision to go to both of these places on the same trip.

Originally just Ellie and I, I decided to do something pretty crazy and put the call out on instagram and tik tok to see if anyone else wanted to join us. Essentially, it blew up, my tik tok got over 60,000 views and I had an influx of messages from girls all over the country. I had to decide pretty early on that I was now designated tour guide and had to cut my clients down to 9 awesome humans, 10 including me haha. So there was Ellie, myself, and a few mates who i had reeled in on a past trip, Emma and Chelsea, and a friend from work, Ebony. From here they invited their friends, Ebony invited Abbey, and chelsea invited 2 girls she met at work Hannah and Tia. Then the lucky pick from tik tok was Tiff, a beautiful human who messaged me and who was feeling a little lost in the big wide world of Perth. The last but not least spot, was an old friend from school leah, a few years older than me but always happy to see me and say hey. So with a bunch of strangers, and mix match of friends from all over the place we caught up once, minus Leah and Emma who were busy and a few months later we packed up the cars and off we went up the coast.

It was the most weirdest, magical time away with these 9 girls. i was shocked at how well we all got on, despite being strangers, and honestly asking the web was the best thing i ever did. we snorkelled, road tripped, swam, hiked and more. Despite not all having the same ideas of a holiday, we somehow easily managed to split into a ‘we will do this and we will do this’ pattern and oh boy i literally have no words, it was amazing. Girls on tour meant so much more to me than I think I ever would’ve thought. After always getting on with the boys better in school and beyond, to have this time with like minded girls was a welcomed change, where looks or clothes and makeup was not at the forefront of the mind and life was easy going, everyone was easy going.

It’s been a huge time of reflection since coming back from our trip and I’m already wanting to plan another one.
